Frank Zappa originally posted by John Cahan on 13 May 2005 at 22:59:44 What a great concert that was, when they filled in for the Youngbloods at the last minute. Flo and Eddie were so good with Frank. My roommate at the time, Peter, was really into heavy metal before he went to that concert and a combination of the drugs he was on and Zappa's music sent him into switching to classical music till the end of the semester. Howie, if you are reading this, I bet you remember, since you and Peter were such good friends. |

Windham board gets busy originally posted by Phil Bobrow on 15 May 2005 at 21:55:15 Wow..this board is usually pretty quiet. Great to see some "new" familiar names. Bruce...myself and Ken Hahn helped you and David with several PF concerts. The Mimi Farina concert was special, Bonnie Rait....wow. Frank Zappa, Buddy Miles, Leo Kotke, the list goes on. Doesn't matter if you remember us...thanks for the great memories. Played on the B-ball team with Ed Jordan, Carl, Mutter, what a strange trip that was. Glenn...still have the 12 string you sold me over 30 years ago, it's been all around the country, mostly New England and Wyoming. I think we will be seeing each other this summer...have a gig (food not music) near you. My work photof128@aol.com |

food originally posted by Phil Bobrow on 17 May 2005 at 11:48:05 Glenn We have a summer food vending business where we travel all over New England cooking hot fresh veggie-chicken wraps. Mostly at music and craft events. This summr we will be, for sure, at the fall Castlberry Craft Festival in Topsfield. Not far from you. We used to do Glouster but we dropped it. We have been doing an antique festival (Drummer Boy) in late June also at Topsfield but it's currently on the bubble. We also do a small but sweet music festival in Greenfield in mid July. We always go up to Putney if we have some free time. I am an old diner nut so breakfast or lunch at the Putney diner is a top priority. Also love the Agawan Diner on Rt 1 in North Topfield. Looking forward to hooking up with you. I will bring the guitar. photogf128@aol.com |

Zappa originally posted by Karl Horne on 1 June 2005 at 09:40:47 I worked security at that concert. One of my most memorable moments at Windham was that concert and shaking Frank's hand as he left the stage after playing 5 hours. Golden. karl.horne@seattle.gov |
