So yesterday is still with us today, and part of me never left Putney. Endless whispered secrets. A sunrise filled with grace. We were young then and still are. Even staggering in wine blind stuppor and rage, we somehow managed the dance. Survivors, one and all. Have a wonder-filled reunion. And please, let us take just a moment to remember those absent, yet present through us, forever. brucebramson@yahoo.com |

Wow originally posted by Roberta Bobbi Gordon on 26 August 2005 at 18:38:21 Hi Sweetie. Never got around to calling J. (see below, in part, why not). Am heading up tomorrow, having survived Hurricane Katrina yesterday and today. I was lucky again -- had a/c etc the whole time. Ventured out a short while ago and it's not that bad around me, altho it made landfall nearby. Ironic how, 13 year and one day after Hurricane Andrew, Hurricane Katrina took the same path. Jeep turns 60 on the 31st, and I want to share that with him. The sad news, in case you haven't heard, is that Annette lost her son in a car accident a few weeks ago. She called me yesterday -- she was worried about burying a mouse and I was doing hurricane prep at work. We'll talk tonight, I hope. And I'll see her in the next few days and exchange a major hug. Please feel free to tell J if you think it's indicated. Don't know if I'll make any of the reunion or not. I'll report back when I return next Friday to be home for Labor Day weekend. Be well. Thanks so much for your call from Colorado. I'll never forget it. Part of me will never leave Putney or the Connecticut River valley in general -- ever. Much love, B brta22@bellsouth.net |
