Am heading up tomorrow, having survived Hurricane Katrina yesterday and today. I was lucky again -- had a/c etc the whole time. Ventured out a short while ago and it's not that bad around me, altho it made landfall nearby. Ironic how, 13 year and one day after Hurricane Andrew, Hurricane Katrina took the same path. Jeep turns 60 on the 31st, and I want to share that with him. The sad news, in case you haven't heard, is that Annette lost her son in a car accident a few weeks ago. She called me yesterday -- she was worried about burying a mouse and I was doing hurricane prep at work. We'll talk tonight, I hope. And I'll see her in the next few days and exchange a major hug. Please feel free to tell J if you think it's indicated. Don't know if I'll make any of the reunion or not. I'll report back when I return next Friday to be home for Labor Day weekend. Be well.
